四柱八字Bazi · Four Pillars of Destiny

以立春為歲首、以節氣定月、以真太陽時校正。四柱、藏干、十神、納音、空亡、神煞、十二長生、胎元命宮、大運流年，俱依傳統排法。

The year begins at Li Chun and the month at each major solar term, both computed astronomically rather than looked up. Pillars, hidden stems, ten gods, na yin, void branches, symbolic stars, qi phases, derived palaces and luck pillars, all by the traditional method.

Two timing choices — both are the traditional default, so leave them on unless you have a reason not to. 兩項時制選擇——皆為傳統通行之法，除另有所本，建議保持開啟。

Follow the sun, not the clock 依太陽定時，不依時鐘　·　真太陽時 A whole country keeps one clock, but the sun rises at a different minute in every town. Singapore's clock runs about 65 minutes ahead of its own sunlight, so a 2:00pm birth there is really a 12:55pm birth by the sun. This corrects for that. It can move your hour pillar. 一國同用一時制，然各地日出時刻不同。新加坡時鐘較當地日照約快六十五分鐘，故當地下午二時實近日中。此項即為校正，可能改變時柱。 Start the new day at 11pm, not midnight 日始於夜十一時，非子夜　·　早子時 Chinese practice begins the day at 23:00, so a birth between 11pm and midnight counts as the next day. Most schools do this; a minority use midnight. Only matters if you were born in that hour — and then it changes your day pillar, which is the most important pillar in the chart. 傳統以夜十一時為次日之始，故生於十一時至子夜者，日柱屬次日。此為多數派，少數以子夜為界。唯生於此一時辰者受影響，而所改者為日柱——全盤最重之柱。

True solar time corrects the clock for your birth longitude and the equation of time. If you were born within a few minutes of a solar term or of 23:00, the chart can change — the boundary cases are noted below the pillars.
